How to cancel The Economist
Sign in at economist.com and open My account > Manage subscription. Choose Cancel, or contact customer services — some plans require it. App store purchases are cancelled in the app store. Annual plans usually run to the anniversary date rather than stopping immediately.

Cancelled and still charged?
Then the charge is not coming from The Economist. Whoever took your money holds the subscription — if you subscribed inside an app, it is the app store, and only the app store can stop it.
